DOGSO / SPA
What would you do?
Stopping a promising attack (yellow card).
This is a clear and deliberate tripping offence to stop a promising attack and clear forward movement into space by the attacking player. The challenge is not considered to be reckless so referees should be clear their sanction is for SPA. DOGSO is not a consideration as there are defenders in close vicinity therefore reducing any obvious chance to score a goal.
